A Quick FAQ to CFA

  1. What is the full form of CFA?

The full form of CFA is the Chartered Financial Analyst.

  2. What does a CFA do?

Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholders apply their knowledge and skills in a wide range of positions throughout the global finance industry. Distinguished by their commitment to set a higher standard of excellence, they are sought after as investment management professionals.

  3. Is CA eligible for CFA?

You will find CA’s running for CFA but a CFA holder will never run for a Indian CA. Let me inform you that CA is a bachelor level course as per NARIC and CFA is a QCF level 7 master’s degree.

  4. Is CFA better than MBA?

It’s intensely-focused on one thing: making you an investment expert. You will come out of the CFA Program with a specialized skill set for asset management. The MBA, on the other hand, is a broader approach. While the CFA Program is intensely focused, the MBA program is better defined as a mile wide and a foot deep.

  5. Is CFA worth getting?

In the end, both the MBA and CFA are valuable. The CFA, however, is widely coveted by professional investors who work at money managers and registered investment advisors, the types of firms that many financial advisors get their first jobs and initial training and background.
