IBPS Specialist Officer X Recruitment 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

The candidate who is going to apply for IBPS SO 2020-21 exam should have citizenship of India issued by the government of India. The following candidates can also apply for the IBPS SO 2020-21 exam:

  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee, who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • Persons migrated from India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, along with the certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

1. I.T. Officer (Scale-I)

  • 4 year Engineering/Technology Degree or PG in CS/CA/IT/EE/EC/Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunications OR

2. Agricultural Field Officer (Scale-I)

5. HR/Personnel Officer (Scale-I)

  • Graduate and 2 Years Full-time PG degree or 2 Years Full-time PG Diploma in Personnel Management /Industrial Relations/HR/HRD/Social Work /Labour Law.

6. Marketing Officer (Scale-I)

  • Graduate and 2 Years Full-time MMS (Marketing)/ 2 Years Full-time MBA (Marketing)/ 2 Years Full-time PGDBA / PGDBM/ PGPM/ PGDM with specialization in Marketing.

IBPS has released new exam pattern for IBPS SO 2020 Exam. Now IBPS introduced separate sectional timing for each sections in preliminary exam. Let’s have a look at the same.

The preliminary exam will be a qualifying phase for the mains and candidates will have to meet the cut-offs of prelims to be eligible to appear for Mains exam.

IBPS SO 2020 Prelims Exam Pattern: There are two patterns for IBPS SO prelims examination for different posts. There is a sectional cut-off and candidates have to clear all the sections in order to clear the preliminary exam of IBPS SO 2020.

IBPS Specialist Officer X Recruitment Syllabus

As the IBPS Calendar 2020-21 and IBPS SO notification is released. While IBPS issues only the broad subjects, they can be further sub-divided into individual topics, based on the questions that have appeared in the exams over the past few years. The IBPS SO syllabus is divided into two parts:

  • IBPS SO Preliminary Exam Syllabus: This has four main sections of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language and General Awareness.
  • IBPS SO Mains Exam Syllabus: Asks questions just from the specialized course that a candidate is proficient in.

  • The IBPS SO 2020 exam pattern for selecting candidates for Rajsabha Adhikari Scale I and Law Officer is the same.
  • The Exam Pattern for all the other posts is different from the exam pattern of Law Officer and Rajsabha Adhikari Officer.
  • The Mains Examination will have just one section, i.e. of Professional Knowledge
  • Only three sections will be asked in the Preliminary Exam of the IBPS SO 2020 Exam.
  • For Rajsabha Adhikari and Law Officer prelims, sections asked are English Language, Reasoning, and General Awareness.
  • For other posts, sections asked are of English Language, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
  • The score of the Preliminary Exam will not be taken into consideration for the final selection. A cumulative score of Mains Exam and Interview process in the ratio of 80:20 will be taken into consideration for final allotment.
