The role of CBI in the Government

CBI comes under the jurisdiction of the Home Ministry of the Government of India. As the head of the CBI, it is responsible for significant cases, such as corruption, fraud, murder, etc. CBI also conducts investigations of cases found by the courts or people of India to be a severe offence. On the other hand, CBI’s role comes under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (MOPPG). CBI’s Competent Authorities The court of law and the CVC are competent authorities that can issue a search warrant of an accused. But CBI can execute a search warrant of an accused if it feels that the investigation in the case is hampered. The investigations can be delayed in these cases.

How does the process of investigation work?

The CBI first interviews the victim to get a complete description of the crime. The victim is then moved to the New Delhi office of CBI. CBI also records their statements at the police station if the victim wishes, which helps in the later investigation. The victim is then taken to a doctor and asked to take an X-Ray of their abdomen. The doctor asks the victim to give a sample of urine. If the victim refuses to provide a urine sample, CBI takes it anyway. If the sample of urine is positive, then they are now considered guilty. After the victim is proven guilty, CBI officials go to a hospital in New Delhi and visit the patient. They stay at the hospital until the patient has been given the urine sample. After the urine sample is collected, it is tested.

Conclusion

The FBI, DEA, etc., are out of reach or too expensive for an increasing number of people. This is when it is crucial to choose the appropriate law enforcement agency for your business. The best option will depend on the budget, the type of crime, the location of the company, the number of employees, and so on.
