An opportunity in SAIL for around 300 Management Trainees (Technical)

Applications are invited from young, energetic and result oriented persons for around 300 posts of Management Trainees (Technical).

Eligibility Criteria :-

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any of the following disciplines:
i) Mechanical ii) Electrical iii) Metallurgy iv) Chemical v) Electronics & Telecommunications vi) Instrumentation vii) Civil viii) Ceramics and ix) Computer Science from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 65% marks in aggregate of all years/semesters (50% in aggregate for SC/ST candidates). For Computer Science discipline, those having recognised Master’s Degree in Computer Applications (3-year course) with minimum 65% marks in the aggregate (50% in aggregate for SC/ST candidates) are also eligible.

Candidates having engineering degree :
in Production/Industrial Engg./Manufacturing can apply against Mechanical discipline
in Electronics & Communications can apply against Electronics and Telecommunication discipline
in Information technology can apply against Computer Science discipline

Pay Scale : The posts are in E-1grade with scale of pay of Rs.10750- 4% -16750/-.

Age Limit :- 30 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.

Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates will be required to appear for objective type written examination in July, 2009 followed by Interview/ GD.

Application Fee : Pay in Slip for Rs.500/- as examination fee for General and OBC Candidates (Rs.150/- as processing fee for SC/ST& PH candidates) to be deposited by Pay-in-slip in any branch of State Bank of India account No. 30767176945) at CAG Branch, New Delhi, on behalf of SAIL. Also pay Rs.25 extra for bank Charges.

How to Apply :
Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online only through SAIL’s website. The online registration site would be open from 9th May, 2009 to 30th June, 2009.

After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details with space for passport size photograph & signature. This is to be sent, by Ordinary post to Steel Authority of India Limited, Post Bag No. 10, Lodhi Road Post Office, New Delhi -110003, so as to reach latest by 4th July, 2009.

Closing date for submitting applications through website	June 30, 2009
Last day of receipt of registration slip along with Pay in Slip and documents	July 04, 2009
Intimation to eligible candidates regarding examination/admit cards etc. by email	July 07, 2009
Written Test	July 19, 2009
